Local 939 members attended the Highland Games in Madras last week and made and impressive sweep in the novice division. This is the first time any of these guys have participated in these events. FF Steve Doyle took overall first place, Eng Justin Struhs took overall second and Capt Mike Baxter took overall third. There were 10 other competitors in their division. The guys who took 4th-7th are circuit competitors and were quoted following the awards, "We would have done alright had the damn Firemen not shown up." The class of 2007 will be holding a BBQ and ceremony on September 10th from 1830-2000 at the Training Center. Then to JC's for beers!!! The sooner you get there, the more free beer you get!!Come and support the boys!
